Purafil Molecular Media Solutions

Molecular Filtration (also known as gas phase filtration, or chemical filtration) is the process of removing harmful or unpleasant gaseous contaminants from the air in your environment. Purafil’s patented, spherical, porous pellets remove gaseous pollutants from the air through a unique chemical process known as chemisorption.
During chemisorption, the media converts harmful gases from the air into harmless materials that are trapped inside the pellet. This gas phase filtration process is instantaneous and irreversible.

Chemisorbant

Purafil Chemisorbant Media has been specially engineered to provide an enhanced oxidation potential thus assuring the highest overall performance. The chemisorptive process removes contaminant gases by means of adsorption, absorption and chemical reaction (oxidation). Harmful gases are trapped within the pellet and converted into harmless solids which remain in the pellet, eliminating the possibility of desorption and release back into the environment.

Chlorosorb Ultra

Purafil CP Blend Media is a blend of Purafil Chemisorbant and activated carbon media. Purafil Chemisorbant media is generally spherical, porous pellets formed from a combination of activated alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4). The potassium permanganate is applied during pellet formation such that it is uniformly distributed throughout the pellet volume and is completely available for reaction with target gases. Our activated carbon media is a pelletised activated carbon with a pore structure that is optimal for the adsorption of a broad range of contaminants and concentrations.

OdourCarb Ultra

OdourCarbTM Ultra consists of spherical, porous pellets impregnated to provide a superior removal capacity for hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Eliminates contaminant desorption and release back into the environment through chemisorption, this is the ideal solution for odour control in wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, wet wells, lift stations and sludge holding tanks. Blue indicator pellets help to easily identify the need to replace media.

Odourmix SP

Odourmix SP is a chemical media. It eliminates a broad range of odours and is often used in the final or “polishing” stage of filtration.

Odourkol™

Odourkol™ ensures the complete removal of hydrocarbons, allowing the remaining media stages to be fully available for reaction with hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide and other sewerage gases.

Purafil SP

Purafil SP Media has been specially engineered to provide the highest oxidation potential available thus assuring the highest overall performance. The chemisorptive process removes contaminant gases by means of adsorption, and chemical reaction (oxidation). Harmful gases are trapped within the pellet and converted into harmless solids which remain in the pellet, eliminating the possibility of desorption and release back into the environment.

Puracarb

Puracarb Media consists of generally spherical, porous pellets formed from a combination of activated carbon, activated alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated to provide an enhanced removal capacity for acid gases and other corrosive contaminants in industrial environments. Impregnants are applied during pellet formation such that they are uniformly distributed throughout the pellet volume and are completely available for reaction with target gases.

Select

Purafil Select Media (CHS) consists of generally spherical, porous pellets formed from a combination of activated alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4 ). The potassium permanganate is applied during pellet formation such that it is uniformly distributed throughout the pellet volume and is completely available for reaction with target gases.

Purakol

Used in Combination with Other Media for Broad-Spectrum Pollutant Removal. This activated carbon media shall consist of virgin grade, activated, non-impregnated carbon. Broad-spectrum odour control in water / wastewater treatment applications where multiple contaminant gases are present such as: hydrocarbons, mercaptans, chlorine, and nitrogen dioxide.

SP Blend

Purafil SP Blend media has been specially engineered to provide the highest overall performance against multiple contaminants. Purafil SP removes contaminant gases by chemisorption. Harmful gases are trapped within the pellet and converted into harmless solids which remain in the pellet, eliminating the possibility of desorption and release back into the environment. Our activated carbon media removes contaminant gases with high efficiencies and capacities by means of physical adsorption (physisorption). It is very effective against medium-to-high molecular weight compounds, and chemical contaminants with low volatility.

Select CP Blend

Purafil Select CP Blend Media is a blend of Purafil Select and activated carbon media. Purafil Select media is generally spherical, porous pellets formed from a combination of activated alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4).
